Dames Lynda and Jools are heading for the southern hills in the next leg of their Heading for the Hills Tour, which has taken the twins to most regions of New Zealand selling out shows in small halls and theatres.
New Zealand's well-loved national treasures will bring their original style of merriment, mayhem and mirth this time to Methven, Oamaru & Balclutha, in spirit with the ethos of Heading for the Hills tour that is slowing taking the Twins to every corner of NZ.
The last 12 months have been pretty spectacular, celebrating their 40th year as performers, turning 60, being made Dame Companions of the NZ Order of Merit and opening a café in Methven, where Lynda and her wife now live.
"The rebels got their medals" says Jools. "We were very chuffed to accept the honour because we felt it was an acknowledgement of how far society has come". Plus, their TV show Topp Country scooped up three awards at the latest NZ TV Awards - Best Lifestyle Series, Best Director and Best Cinematography. They also had two new books released recently - Topp Country: A Culinary Journey Around NZ, based on the TV series, was in NZ's Top 10 Book List, and the 7th book in the children's audio book series for Scholastic Books; Skip to the Loo My Darlin', will be available to buy at a special discount for concert-goers.
Expect the unexpected, and don't miss a great night of hilarious entertainment guaranteed to have you laughing or crying with "sheer joy" (the Financial Times, London).
