Celebrating 20 Years

The Mid Canterbury Summer Singing School is delighted to be celebrating 20 years of musical theatre camps.
The Friday and Saturday afternoon concerts will be in the usual format as previous years and will bring to you some of the favourite medleys from the past and some spectacular new music. There are two groups Seniors and Juniors with the added bonus (at the Saturday night Gala concert) of a scholarship alumni group and an alumni choir of past students who were present at previous camps and even back to the first camp in 2000.

Many students have gone on to have successful careers in music theatre and you will be lucky enough to hear them sing at the Gala Concert on the Saturday night. However, the Friday and Saturday afternoon concerts will be equally spectacular with the cream of Mid Canterbury singers taking you through such shows as Les Mis, Jekyll and Hyde, Finding Neverland, Matilda, Motown and so much more. The Senior and Junior groups perform at all three concerts, but the alumni at the Saturday Evening concert only.

These shows are a firm favourite on the Mid-Canterbury Theatre calendar and are not to be missed.
Celebrating 20 Years with Musical Director/ Producer Jo Castelow from Ashburton and Director/Choregrapher Alice Sollis from Timaru with over 110 talented musical theatre students.
